There have been articles on the Allis Chalmers Museum printed in several of the Antique Papers and Magazines.  A gentleman near LaPorte, IN. called me one night after reading one of those articles.  He said he had an AC Tractor that was part of AC history and I should have it in the museum.  He proceeded to tell me that his Dad had worked in the AC LaPorte, IN. factory for 30 some years and at it's closing in the early 80's he aquired this Special G.  He said the Engineers in the experimental lab made 2 of these Special G's by taking off the pipe frame, redoing the steering shaft and fabricating a small steel bed with a tail gate on one side to use as a shop mule to haul things around the factory.  They made 2 and he does not know what happened to the other one.

I have had several former AC Dealers come to the museum and say they remember seeing this Special G at the LaPorte Factory.
